The Stagecoach Journey Through the Arikaree Breaks (KS & CO)

 — (MDT, UTC-06) — (MDT, UTC-06)

Events happening from St. Francis, KS to Beecher Island, CO

We have been blessed to know Cowboy Rick Hamby for several years now as a wonderful Christian man who lets his faith shine from his love of history, especially the Old West. Follow along as his crew travels with horses and the stagecoach from St. Francis, KS up through the Arikaree Breaks (where the last remaining buffalo was killed in Kansas) to Beecher Island with it's amazing history.

Right now here is the remaining schedule of events: ~Friday, June 12th, the crew will head to Sharon Springs, KS to visit residents at the nursing home. The stagecoach will make a run to nearby Pond City and Pond Creek Stage Station. With a stagecoach run back to the Ft. Wallace Museum, and to top it all off...a group of descendants FROM IRELAND of Capt. Keogh (who was killed at Custer's Last Stand but was stationed here as the Fort Commander in KS) will be there!

~Saturday, June 13th, a stagecoach run to Ft. Wallace Cemetery, then back to the museum for some talks and presentations about Keogh, then a chuckwagon meal at the museum, followed by a short fundraiser, and then Barry will be there and he'll perform along with the Journey Crew for the evening entertainment!

If you want to ride the stagecoach at any given time or have any questions about the schedule, please contact or text JD at 620-874-0479. For more details, give JD Perry a call at the Ft. Wallace Museum.
